First saw that a couple of years ago. Very interesting technically from a production, loading and firing perspective.

It's a question of scale, and reminds me of the good old boys down home who swear by 00 Buckshot out of their Grampie's 12 ga - at any range. "It's far, but it's worth a try, I might get it".

Except this deer was in range, shot by a competent shooter - and died.

Takes a fair amount of work and thought to set this up. I'd disagree with it being barbaric - its legal and the buck was downed with one cannon shot. Most would find the logistics and implementation to be more than they are patient and/or comfortable with.

It is not as bad as shooting deer with a .223 or .22-250 IMHO and no where near as bad as that 600+ yards "Beyond Belief" bull####.
