Fortunately for me, this group of hunters saw me as well as the deer and in an act of true sportsmanship elected to sit and watch me make my effort to harvest this deer.
Soon the other observing party where there with congratulations and excitement at what they had just witnessed. Apparently it was about as fun watch as it was to carry out!

All due respect to these sportsmen who obviously base their success in the field on the experience...not the kill.

Great story! The harder you need to work the more you appreciate it when everything works out. If you want your meat the easy way...well, then.

I actually think a shed petal or four with high impact velocity isn't a bad thing with a mono, heck CEB designs their bullets that way. Wounds from a TSXs that's shed parts are rather impressive, as being solid copper even the pieces carry a surprising distance on their own.
