So first it was the SR9, 10-12K rounds before it's first broken part. (lower camblock pin, $5 and on it's way), then the slightly larger SR45 and thanks to Bullseye and their irresistible pricing, the SR40 middle child showed up on Saturday. Still on the fence about an SR22 'cause they be fugly but Ruger has a new 4.5" barrel version that is less hideous.

You really like your ruger's. What makes you prefer them over the other polymer pistols out there? I'd like to try a ruger sr out someday...

Once you have a chance to shoot all 3, lets us know which one was your fav cal :)

I hated the m&p in 9mm but liked it in 40s&w

Just waiting on the rego. Got all excited to find a letter from the CFO in the mailbox yesterday but it turned out to be just a copy of the transfer that came with the gun. Seems redundant.

The feel and fit, ease of servicing and price. They might have been old stock but none of them was over $600.

I've shot the SR9, found it snappy. Be interesting to compare all 3, especially the .45 to the other 2.

I've used up to 5.0gr of HP38 with 115gr Campro's and they snap real good but dialed it back a bit to 4.8gr. The .45 is like most others with more "thud" than "snap" but so far so good. Really looking forward to compare the .40 to the 9mm because they are exactly the same size to the point where the slides, barrels and magazines interchange.

(one day I'll figure out how to do multiple quotes in the same post)

Finally got to try the new SR40 today and I like it. Fit and feel is exactly the same as the SR9. (go figure) 100rds of Wasp reloads, 50 of Atlanta Arms reloads and 20 of new Black Hills Ammo. Not a glitch, hiccup, nada. Went bang every single time. The sights do seem to be off just a bit compared to the 9 so a future tweaking coming up but otherwise I think Ima gonna like this one.

As far as recoil, it really doesn't feel any different than the 9 with a hot load. And in any case after a bunch of hotdog .44mag, anything else feels gentle anyhow.

The Black Hills Ammunition did impress the heck out me though. Truly excellent consistency and repeatability. Cloverleafs at 10m, could start to make me think that I'm a better shot than I really am.
