The wife goes out, the boys come out

My goodness! That collection must be worth at least a hunnert dollars, eh? :p

The sight of those alone would be enough to clear all the liebrals, dippers and other pinkos away.

Guys

my wife took off up north for the weekend a couple of weeks back. I thought I'd have a party.

Yep! It's confirmed....I hate you.

Nice collection tho!

Missing are MkB42, FG42, MP38, G/K41. Those are either rare rare or too expensive although I have a line on a K41 right now that I think may work out well.

No such thing as a K41. It was only G41, either a G41M(Mauser Oberndorf) or G41W (Walther). The K was just a nomenclature change to the g43 late in 44. And they are expensive. haha

What are the details on the k43 and K98k? I also collect german small arms only.

Yeah, that's just me being lazy (fixed). The k98 is a dou rifle, matching. The k43 is a qve45, also matching. I have a shooters kit in it and it performs well, the coyotes can attest to that. The K43 has a replacement stock on it. I have the original wood and handguard but some bubba had removed the buttplate and cut that last cm of wood off to put a rubber pad on. In the meantime, while I look for a nice stock that will do. I could find someone to put that wood back and at least have the original all together but I haven't decided yet.

The plan is now to hook that G41 and keep a look out for an MP38 and then just start trading what I have for better examples.

Btw you have a lovely accumulation yourself :) What am I looking at? The K43, is the mount original? The front one I mean, :) You are the reason it took me 5 years to find a K43.

Ahhhh those were up on a wall. The others came from the gun room which has a lock as part of the rack system. I was in a hurry in case 'er indoors came back and the dogs failed to warn me :) The trigger locks on a couple of the handguns is because these are in a safe but I don't ever want to be responsible for my grandson shooting his friends so I get paranoid.

Not paranoid, just extra safe. I do the same.

The rifle is an ac45 with correct original late war mount and scope. But it doesn't match the guns serial. But both are super late and walther. That rifle I posted here in better detail a few months ago. It came from the USA. The other k43 is a qve45 but an easy German refurb. Everything else is original matching except one k98k bolt mm and the tnw mg34.

Shame about your stock, I've seen a lot of them like that in the U.S. They must have been too big for a lot of guys. They are a fairly big gun.

What year is your dou? I have 43 and 44.

I'd love to get an stg44 like yours. They are sweet.

Good group for sure.

The dou is a 1943 rifle, like yours. The only bonus about the K43 I have is that it only cost me $1700. So if I have an opportunity to get a nice stock I am still on the upside on it. The Stg is a demil of course and if you are interested in one I posted link up further. Al's prices are stiff, but that's probably only the 3rd one I have seen in a decade.

You are correct about the stocks, I see the same, plenty of rifles down south, all bubba'd. You are certainly fortunate to have that mount. If I may drool, I shall drool on that :)
