Picked this up on the weekend. Came with the box and some nice mounts. Made in Japan by Miroku. Needs a trigger job and a scope.

I’ve got 2 Winchester 52B’s and a Browning 52C. I love them. Accuracy shouldn’t be an issue.

Oh my god dude! Thats gottah be the absolute ugliest gun Ive ever seen. The wood looks like particle board thats been stained! Id be willing to relieve you of such an eyesore because of my good nature. OK now for the real truth. Thats an absolute stunner pal and what a JEM youve found. Salivating on the sidelines. KUDOS and the best of luck with a 649 find in the gun world .CHRIS

I had the exact same one a bunch of years ago and it was absolutely outstanding. Wish I would have hung on to it now.

If we could only go back in time Id have the Browning grade two T Bolt my father bought when he first came to the greatest country on earth. Sadly he has gone and so too with a beautiful Browning Grade two T bolt. Its too bad theyre more interested in selling car seat covers, stickers and clothes for people on welfare. Just saying. My last Browning was a Stainless Target T Bolt that had a plastic cassette trigger that was (adjustable) a screw in a blind hole that does sweet F..K all. Should have been sued for false advertising. I wont ever own any of their F..KING JUNK again. All are gone but two and theyre next on the SH.T LIST for extermination.

Nice score. No trigger job required - remove the lawyer pin & a spring replacement will get you to a very nice 2 pound trigger.

Lots of info on these on rimfire central in the 52 subsection. They call these Japanese manufactured rifles 52R's (as in reproductions).

I bought one new in '98 for smallbore metallic silhouette. It's too heavy for my daughters to comfortably use ( the matches are shot offhand ) and plenty accurate out to the rams at 100 meters. When I miss, it ain't the rifles fault.

Scoped it with an Leupold 3-9x40AO. Took out the lawyer pin and replaced the spring. Trigger at 2lbs now but wont stay cocked if you operate the bolt quickly. Not ideal. No sear adjustment on these triggers which is too bad.
Shot the Federal Champion loads the best into a little 5 shot ragged hole at 50 yards.
