The worse rifle you ever owned

I Had a Mauser .22 bolt action rifle that would jam and a CZ70 .32 pistol that would jam alot.

I don't miss the .32 caliber being banned in Canada as it's pretty useless. I shot an old tire once and the bullet just bounced off.

I have since learned to research a firearm before I buy it.

Mossberg 4X4 in 270, it was given to me due to the fact it didn't shoot. it had four boxes of ammo through it (was given the brass with the rifle).
My Norinco SKS with FMJ surplus groups WAY better than that Mossberg did. It looks like they dragged the button down the barrel with gravel for lube, it was jagged with galling marks. The best I did was 6" at 100, the average was over 7".
Gave the rifle to a guy needing the bolt for his rifle. Don't know how that one got past QA.

I bought a Henry Martini 22 but was not told that it was an original 1874 MKII that had been converted to rimfire from the original 577-450 or whatever huge bore it was. Sold it after providing that info. Lots of FTFs and heavy. Now have a BSA Martini Model 8 actually made for rimfire and its a tack driver-that at about 60yrs old. Muuuuccchhhh better.

Got a very bad Sendero in 300 mag, had to send back 2 times for serious things ( headspace and broken firing pin ) this rifle would not shoot under 3 inchs even with superbs handloads finally they refunded me kind of lemon law, i guess you know it was my last Remington... JP.

A Diana mod 24 .22 air rifle! Sorry, I know its not a firearm, but it cost me as much as one, and I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with it!

I have been rather lucky as far as rifles and shotguns go, since all were good to excellent shooters. Finish quality varied considerably however, with a newer Remington and Marlin at the bottom of the finish quality heap, and FN and Savage being my best!

You Know, I've been watching this thread pretty closely, and I don't think the Rem. 770 has been mentioned yet. I feel comfortable now, knowing I have a reliable, accurate rifle.:rolleyes::p:p

You're the only one .... enough to buy one :p

I kid, I kid, but seriously...some rifles are so bad, most people know enough to avoid them before they get to the 'owning it' stage.

Norinco SKS.... pretty self explanitory.

I traded it towards a 220 Swift and the rest is history.;)

that's funny, I had a Norinco SKS 5/CD and it never once failed or jammed, it was an absolute tack driver; I nailed perfect bulls-eye's at 200 meters with an open sight (always surplus ammo). I always hated the idea that it was a piece of cheap rice crap, but I had to give that rifle the credit it deserved.

What was wrong with your Spartan?

Not that it was all that bad, but it was my worst rifle I've owned.
Blueing where barrel met reciever was fading for no apparent reason. Stored in safe and put away dry.
Grooved for 7/8th scope mounts. Not much room between rings(by design) And just didn't like using a scope on a break open rifle. Also the least accurate rifle I've owned.
Looked cool, though, spiral barrel and good looking wood.

Oh, and I forgot. Failure to fire, occasionally. Weak firing pin? Tried again, the round would fire.
