Hmmmm...perhaps they should instead "prohibit" the Ruger Charger in Canada?
No need to prohibit it.
But I would consider it to be a restricted rifle, not a handgun.

Voting Liberal is NOT what brought this on..
I agree with the OP the Orgs need to be united. I have also heard from 2 retailers near my hometown that is one story has exclusivity to a mag or if they want to launch a competing mag they call the gun lab and complain. I heard from one retailer (can not confirm) that someone in Ont making SKS mags called the RCMP and said that the Tapco mags were too uneasy to un-pin in hopes of having them removed so he could sell his own mags... not sure how true that is but it sounds petty.
Voting Liberal is NOT what brought this on. Voting for one party over another should not remove your rights as a Canadian citizen. Never blindly follow one party, or blindly hate on another due to its name.
I am going to be writing my MP in regards to this, and donating some money to the cause to fight this. Give them an inch and they will take a mile.
This kind of politics is very dangerous. Remember folks the public discussions in many nation wide gun clubs regarding the on coming LGR?
Guess exactly what police organization (and the only one too) that had it's members also present & out of uniform?
I know for a fact from an auxiliary member that in Moose Jaw, they were certainly there.
Just because a cop is present doesn't mean they are undercover and working against the citizens.
Makes me wonder if the Liberal government is going to maintain the same position, of totally supporting the opinions of the experts in illegal drug enforcement - the RCMP - when it comes to deciding on making cannabis legal. Would be kind of hypocritical of the Libs to defer to their "expertise" on one subject, but ignore their opinion on another subject, merely because they didn't agree with it? Or am I missing something here?
Are there more pot smokers than gun owners ? How are they so successful in getting laws changed and not getting prosecuted when they break the laws in most cases. The amount of people openly smoking pot in downtown Vancouver makes me sick. I thought there were bylaws in Vancouver prohibiting smoking in public. Doesn't pot count as smoking.
My point is why are politicians more afraid of pot smokers than gun owners ?

I'm going to flee to the states before Trump builds a wall, we are going to be down to BB guns before long.
neither the RCMP or the Government will EVER be able to get rid of guns,it's a complete impossiblity,oh,,they can write laws, ban this gun and that gun,try to scare gun owners ,whatever, doesn't change a damn thing, fact is,,all these millions of gun in the country right now,,are here to stay,,the days of the RCMP and government trying to scare guns away from gun owners are long gone, gun owners of today know EXACTLY why these anti-gun nazis want the populatrion unarmed,so their pipe dream of disarming gun owners simply because of laws they write,is just that,,a dream,,one that will NEVER come true,so at the end of the day..all these guns will STAY in private hands,,and there isn't a damn thing they can do about it,and the fact that the registry is gone means they dont have a clue where 95% of these guns are today..all that information became irrelevant the very next day the registry was abolished, and you can bet they hate that,,
