Then and Now....

I'm feeling nostalgic today and I was flipping through some gun pics and I noticed something in my most recent gun pic that I took. When I first got into this wonderful hobby, I knew there were a few guns that I had to have. Now, I'm sure like most of you on here, I didn't get a chance to try out the guns that I wanted to get, but they just looked so damn awesome that I was going to purchase them no matter what. Well, thinking back to those purchases over the years and all that money lost on flipping guns that just didn't make the cut, I learned two valuable lessons: Try before you buy and I like German made guns, plain and simple. As you can see, my taste in guns have evolved... Have yours?

too bad it is so hard to try before you buy. and yes i like the german guns too. i had the p99as at one point and it is one of the nicest polymer frame guns IMHO.

The 226 was my first gun I learned to shoot with. I went through 4 different variations until I found a German made I knew I was going to keep.

I agree. For those that are contemplating about getting one, don't hesitate. It's reset is ridiculous compared to the sig and HK

ive never lost money buying a gun and then flipping it.
because ive never sold a gun.
but i have purchased guns that after i got them to the range i realized where not what i thought they would be.
i now call those my 'sure i have a extra gun you can shoot' guns.
and more recently they are becoming my 'dont touch dads favorites, but feel free to use any of these guns kids' guns.

I didn't get into this sport to save money so I don't have a problem losing a bit flipping a gun that didn't suit me. It's all about mitigating my losses at this point. I learn something about what I like/want from every gun I have owned. I become a more discerning consumer every day.
