Ok just wondering something..

What would need to be modified to say a marine magnum 870 to be able to be submerged in water and then quickly shot? No real world practical use for this info, just curiosity.:)

"What would need to be modified"

Probably just common sense....:p

Come on, it's just a joke. I think if you lower the barrel and let gravity do it's job, you should be able to fire. I wouldn't, but someone might.

ok i get the lowering barrel but will water in action etc.. cause issues? so if that's all there is to do why wouldn't you?

and no, no joke, just plain curiosity.

i'm no expert, but i would imagine as long as the barrel is not full of water, your fine. if the action has a bit of water, it should evaporate as you start shooting.

planning a spec op mission in the swaps?

I wouldn't because I don't own an marine magnum 870 ;).
I do however own a Maverick 88. I have taken it into some pretty wet areas, hiking in two feet of snow etc. I've had the action and barrel full of snow, just cleared the barrel and fired it, remaining snow just fell out. I've dropped it in a river while trying to keep my balance, but didn't fire for a while.

Allowing the water to run out should be enouph to fire away. Try it and let us know.
