I have trowned the towel on a EE good deal, and will never happen now, i dont even go on the EE no more, i go directly to my favorite dealers, no more expectations, just sure things... JP.

I have bought 90% of the guns in my house through the EE. But you have do the research and know your values. Also, the adds with OBO, are most likely overpriced and the seller knows that. Make your offer and wait. Play the game.
I have also noticed that the listed prices on the EE are about 70% of any gun show I have been at.
As a what if. I have a BNIB rifle. If I ask 90% of the MSRP , OBO would that be a fair listing?

I think you will find 95% of the stuff on the EE is overpriced. I agree, it seems silly. I'm not really sure why they think their gun is worth more than what the sponsors are selling it for often.

The other 5% really are deals from reasonable ppl, who I guess are not into haggling and actually want to sell their item. That 5% is sold in a day or less, sometimes minutes. The two guns I have bought on there were on there for less than 24 hours.

I have also sold two guns on the EE, put them up for a fair price. They were gone in 24 hours. No need to do BTT for a months, dropping the price $5 each time. Please.

it must be Whinesday.

Judging by how fast a few of my handguns have sold on the EE I priced them way too low. Alas, they're sold so there are a few fewer deals out there.

I happily paid $2000 for a sako 85 in 6.5x55 yes I know I over paid but I had looked for months trying to find one, even asked some dealers from the site no one could help me ou. The gun was mint in full I paid $2300 plus shipping for the 85, a bnib vortex viper, sako rings and mounts. better deals out there yes but if you are after a hard to find gun some times you have to buck up a little extra.
That being said I paid $750 plus tax %14 in BC for my t3 light about 5 or six years ago they are going for under $600 now. I did not know that until I offered the gun to someone at what I thought was a fair price. when informed that that is more then new (without taxes) I decided just to keep the gun.

So, a neutron walked into a bar and said "I'd like a beer, please."

After the bartender gave him one, he said "How much will that be?"

"For you?" said the bartender "No charge."

I think the EE is great!

It takes patience to find what you are after and speed to get it bought.

Prices..?

I missed out on VXIII 4.5-14x40AO for $300 I was third.

I missed out on VXIII 4.5-14x40 for $500 I was second

The majority of dies in my reloading room came from the EE for less than the price of new ones, shipped.

There are always deals on the EE you just have to find them and claim them quickly.

He who hesitates pays full retail somewhere else!

:)

I have bought and sold many items in the EE, and I monitor it regularly. There are some great deals, some good deals, and then there are times that I can't help but laugh when I see some of the prices people are asking. It seems like many individuals are quite realistic about their prices, and certain people seem to have multiple ads that have been bumped for month after month, because they always ask ridiculous prices. If an ad has been bumped into the double digits, there is probably a very good reason.
