put him out about 10 pounds of dried powder potatoes, and nothing else. Then when you rebait do it with the 39$ auto corn sprinkler hanging from a pale of corn. While the bears away with a got the size of a beach ball the deer can be in picking corn. Avoid oats they firment and draw bear and so does apples. Corn too if you dump it but not when sprinkled

Even a corn feeder with attract bears. Last year a bear was at my feeder allllll the time until I got rid of the feeder.

Black bears will take down hanging bird feeders for sunflower seeds. Lost ours this past week.

This is a particularly bad year for bear north of Hull-Gatineau. On our short lake road, the garbage boxes impervious to coons are no puzzle for a bear.
About 10 within 400 metres of our place trashed this month alone.

Id move the camera to a higher spot. Lucky that bear didnt get ahold of the camera. I had one bear slip a claw threw the motion sensor on mine. Still works but lucky it wasnt ruined. Just a suggestion.....

Agreed! The bear in my pic broke my camera the first week it was out. He also broke the feeder. It did not take him long to learn that if he stood up on his hind legs, he could move the spinner plate on the feeder, which would make corn come out. He bent the crap out of the spinner plate, and broke the wires, and bracket that went to the solar panel.
