I want to have as much fun as we have always had at IDPA but here are some rules that need to be enforced strictly. I had a long chat with the president of TMC and his wife yesterday and last week. I presented them a list of infractions that I wrote down and agreed on what should happen if they are violated. I respect IPSC for not being laid back on these rules and I don't want IDPA to be laid back either. I don't know about other clubs but my club is run tightly by the president and he will shut down IDPA in a blink of an eye. It's only fair for all the other members as they do not deserve to lose their shooting time due to a violation that occurred on IDPA night.
Here it goes so there are no surprises. I don't care if you are my best friend or my worst enemy, the same goes...
Finger on the trigger or muzzling the wall, floor, ceiling. You go home for the night if you do it again after one warning.
Unholstering early before the line you go home no warning.
Shoot the wall, floor, ceiling, you go home no warning.
Attitude to the SO you can go home no warning. (judgement call)
No police without black badge, NSOC, etc. can shoot IDPA. Issues with not knowing the procedures can lead to serious safety violations so this is a rule now at TMC IDPA!
And please remember when it's time to unload and show clear that you wait for the SO to ask. Doing it before being asked just because it's second nature can lead to other issues!
I don't think this will impede on any of the fun we have and will continue to have! Hopefully this Thursday is the only one we miss. I plan on putting a lot of effort into the stages at TMC IDPA. Let's have some fun!
Take Care!
