might it be that IDPA at TMC will be run similar to an IPSC league night at an unnamed location?? more shooting less yapping ..... blasphemy i tell you....

Just out of curiosity, when were any of these safety infractions witnessed at TMC? I've been to every single club night for the last year except for one and the only infraction I've seen is the police officer racking his gun behind the line. From the sounds of it, there is a huge safety problem at TMC which warrants a meeting with the club president but I can't seem to remember a single incident.

I agree with Steve on this one. You really don't understand how easy it is to get shut down. Some things you think are trivial are just not when it comes to keeping a league going. I have been shooting IDPA at TMC since it's inception and CDP before that. A lot longer than one year. We have been shut down for a long time before just from one incident that I am sure you would find not serious. What made me laugh was when you said you haven't seen any of these violations in the last year? How could you possibly see a finger on the trigger from back there? And you are saying you have never heard me yell MUZZLE!!? Why don't you ask 12.6 Envy if I ever yelled that to him? I told him I wasn't trying to be a prick I just didn't want IDPA shut down.
I still think the best way to answer your questions would be as Steve David said. Talk to the president.

I know I'm at fault for using fjrobins as an id but it wasn't intended to hide who I am. I used fjrobins as my identity because it matches my email address. Kudos's to Steve and Chris for not hiding behind an obscure id in CGN. So many negative things are said in the CGN forums and the identity of the writer is unknown.

I am not sure what hear say you speak of, all I did was suggest the question be posed
directly to the source of the shut down, and that would be the president of the club.

To deal with the ongoing personal grudge that cbabes has with one shooter, which has since spread to 6 or 7 shooters, and has been destroying IDPA at TMC for the past 6 months or so. Would you be willing to say that this "attitude" rule would be put to a vote, so if three SO's are there it takes 2/3 to send someone home?
Not to mention if all this unsafe shooting was going on under your watch to the point that you felt the need to initiate a conversation with our club president I can only assume that you are having your SO status reviewed by IDPA. Steve, you are obviously aware as you posted in this thread and we have had some casual conversations about the matter, so I would be interested to hear what follow up is planned in terms of reviewing the status of our SO who believes he has been running unsafe shoots for so long or if he does not believe this, he is using IDPA and the TMC board to follow through with a personal agenda. If TMC needs to air its laundry publicly, let's at least be honest about what it is all about because it has been ruining IDPA for too long.

What I am aware of is what I have been told by the parties involved, you included. I have not been involved unless I was addressed on an issue as this clearly is a club issue. Again as I suggested, you would be best to direct any questions or concerns to the President and the BOD of the club as they are the ones who suspended IDPA, not cbabes, that I do know, and knowing the President for as long as I have and working on that BOD for as long as we did together, I can assure you he would not suspend any shooting unless there was a safety issue he felt could potentially effect the club, again you are best to address him directly. On the review of the status of the SO's at TMC, nothing like this has even be suggested, so that is a non issue. I can assure you that IDPA has complete faith in cbabes or any other SO to ensure they run IDPA safely and follow each individual clubs range rules.
Nice newshot! Nothing I said shut down IDPA. I wasn't even the one who told the whole board about that incident. I never said unsafe shoots have been running. This is called nipping it at the but my friend. I want everyone to know the rules. I still have no guarantee this will open IDPA back up. It may not be enough for the president and the board. I am trying my hardest to do what I think they need done. You are clueless and really need to speak with the president and tell him how you think this is a grudge I have. Completely clueless.
Sorry I forgot to address this. If you check the US and Canada IDPA website I am sole club contact now. Before IDPA was shut down at TMC I was made the sole person in charge of IDPA. Before jumping to conclusions this was known and agreed to by the TMC Range Manager and president. I started this thread to keep people from wasting a drive to IDPA this Thursday and to let all TMC members and non-members know about some rules they need to abide by for IDPA not to be shut down again. Seriously though you are wrong.
