so are you guys saying that because my gf and i tell the other what we are doing rather than asking we will be happier in the long run?

pisses her off sometimes in the winter when im laid off and go hunting 5 days straight but then again it pisses me off when she goes out with her friends alot. but hey guess what? i still get ### everyday and bj at least 2 times a week :wink:


dont bow down like a little ##### when she tells you what you can and cannot do. put your foot down and tell her how it is. but, make sure you dont snap on her when she does the same to you and you will continue getting ###! :lol:

That's not how I read it. Itsacookbook came across as a reasonable, intelligent and thoughtful guy who cares about his wife, whereas you came across as an abusive tyrant who expects absolute compliance from his wife. I don't know you, so I may be WAY off on that (I hope I am), but that's how it reads.

I think the point is that neither of you should be putting your foot down - it's not necessary, or at least it shouldn't be. It's a cliche to say that marriage is a compromise, but cliches all have an element of truth. Itsacookbook's wife may not want to go hunting with him, and he may not want to go shopping or whatever with her, but each still does their own thing and it's not a problem. Neither one had to act like an ####### to the other to get what they want. Sounds good to me.
