Very cool. I remember the guy posted this and the thread was removed. His name was Mountain... something? I know there were two threads, one was slated for production and the other was simply a one off custom.

Rocky Mountain ...I saved the pics from the first time he posted them ;) .
In his post he mentions the production version is different then the one in the pic and may be available as soon as next month !!

If you're referring to the distinctive groove above the trigger guard, you have it precisely backwards.

Thanks. These pics are only of my original prototypes finished in the spring of 2011 and shown here at the beginning of January. They're a bit rough around the edges. The production version, although still following my original design concept is a hands down polished up version of my design. I've cleaned a number of things up and added a few new features. I'm not quite ready to show it off yet. Also, my digital camera died. lol. Don't worry, I've got a new one coming.

The purpose of my post is simply to remind people that I'm still here and let them know that a new product is on it's way....very soon.

You Sir are a big tease !!! :)
I see it accepts an original style handguard so I assume my Ultimak M8 front rail will fit .
Looks great and its good to see new products such as this coming out !

Will it lubricate my rod

LOL....NO SIR.

I am VERY excited about this chassis!

This might sway me over to the "dark side" maybe it's time to add a shorty m1a :)

I'm glad you're excited. It's good motivation for me. I know what you mean, I'd like a shorty myself.

Will it be possible to fit a rear lug receiver and will it be a folder or able to be made a folder?

Thanks

Rear lug receiver....there's no way. My stock is much slimmer than it's wood or fiberglass counterparts. I can't do it without compromising the integrity of the stock or redesigning the whole back end, otherwise I might offer to mill out some extra space for your receiver.

My stock will accept any standard butt stock, so I don't see why it wouldn't work with any AR15 style folding adapter.

I don't have one to try it out. If you have one you could send it to me and I could put it on and take some pics.

That rifle looks sweet

Thank-you. Those are the original prototypes. The production version is much nicer and I will be posting pics of it in the near future.

Great looking stock! Will it have the ability to mount a vertical style grip in front of the magazine? Such as on an AR. I would really like to build one of these in to a shorty. Also any idea on pricing yet?

I have a complet side folding ar15 adaptor set I can send you

I don't like it on account of the fact that Comic Sans was used.

Comic Sans is one of the most over used and more importantly misused font. It was designed as the title would suggest for comics yet many people still use it when dealing with business far removed from comics. Typography geeks froth at the mouth when they see it used. I notice it enough to see when its misused.

In the grand scheme of things it means little but if you are aware of the brand you are creating it does have an impact on your audience. Its a whimsical and relaxed font. If that is the image or mood you are looking for then go ahead and use it. Other wise use a more appropriate font.

Do you have an estimated cost. I'm presently in the decision making process on a new stock. I really like your prototype!
