Well I hope that's true at least!!!

Forgive my ignorance... but what's the difference between a "milled" and a "stamped" stock band for a No4 Enfield... or any other metal for that matter?

Milled is referring to a part that has been machined with a cutter or cutters to produce the part from a blank piece of stock. Stamped means it has been formed and cut in a die or tooling to form the metal into the desired shape with the required holes etc being made from punches\dies.
