Thermold Mags Rant

Mine have 2 plastic screws in it. I tried to get a pair of pliers in there and they turned, but didn't move. It looks like the heads have been slightly flattened to make them harder to remove. I'll give it another try when I get home tonight. Are the wolf springs full length? Where did you get them from?

Just got mine in the mail and I've got 2 of the plastic screw versions.

Not sure how pliers would turn them out, must have gotten pretty aggressive in there. I have not checked them for function and won't be able to until my M1A build is done (maybe next year sometime :jerkit:).

Anyway, I just took apart my Norinco mag and have the Norc spring on hand. I might just do what haha49 did and replace the crap screws with a legit rivet. We'll see though.

Push down on the follower when you turn it makes it easy to get out... )by follower I mean plastic flat peice) I ended up taking it apart and replaceing it with a full length spring and putting rivits in it's place now its like 10 times easier to load and works allot better.

I tried that. The setup on the bottom of the mag is going to take some modifying. I don't want to break up one of my current mags to do it, but I've got a couple of mag springs from Wolf on order to give it a try.
