They are coming...updated

I have to agree. I'm getting tired of all the restricted black rifles coming in. Yah, more of the same stuff! Now, if the NR ACR or some other similar black rifle hit the market I'd be dishing out my $$$.

I have heard that there should be NR ACR's coming some time this summer/fall but they are from Remington and not the Bushmaster (yes I know Bushmaster is owned by Remington). So, I think I will hold out. Still toying with getting an XCR while I wait and compare the two when I get my hands on an ACR.

So here is the first half of what is coming. I'll be listing these as a presale on the website tomorrow along with details etc.

We have some of these guns already ordered but we'll be listing a number of DPMS models. If it's something we don't have on order already its about a 3-4 month wait.

Bushmaster ACR Enhanced, Restricted...16 1/2" Barrel, 556. $2795 including shipping. Arrives in 2-3 weeks.

At some point, I'd like to get an ACR regardless of it's restricted status. However, the decision would be easier if some sort of firm comittment can be made in bringing in some quality non-restricted barrels so that owners can retrofit them and change the rifles to NR status in future.

Tough to pluck down that kind of money on a range only rifle. Getting after market barrel means paying for two barrels and cost to re-certify to NR.

Yeah I couldnt justify spending that kind of coin on a restricted black rifle. The price on them is outrageous, why can someone make a decent NR that is 1000 bucks.

There is probably ZERO reason why bushmaster couldn't make a run of 18.5" barrels, and for that reason alone I'll pass.

There's no reason for them to make it either. People in the USA are content with 16.5" barrels. I would be too if it wasn't classified as restricted. Maybe it's not worth it for Shrubmaster to have a run of 18.5" for Canada, being such a small market.

I know it sucks but this is what we get due to our gun laws.

I would believe that it would cost ZERO to make barrels 2" longer. All they have to do is not cut them so short :) Making a 1000 barrel run is no big deal. There would be a big market with all the hunters in the U.S

That was my 2 cents...Thank You :)

Bushmaster lists a factory 18.5" lighter profile barrel, in addition to the standard 16.5", 10.5" and 14.5". Whether you can order it directly from Bushmaster or even separately at this point is anyone's guess.

An enhanced ACR with factory 18.5" NR barrel for $2,800 would be cat's a**. The 6.8 SPC NR version would be even sweeter... ;)

I'll have the DPMS's up sometime tomorrow along with alot of other stuff that never made it to the website but is at the store.

I have to agree, I bought one from a friend that had one and it has served me well. It is a very nice rifle and I hope that we can get the barrel kits soon to take advantage of other calibers as well as barrel length.

Hey Ryan,

Any undated ETA on the 20" DPMS rifles? I would love to pick one up.

just when i think i have my wish list you have to go and make me add a new gun to the list guess its time to start working more hours lol
