It's really hard to find an affordable aftermarket tactical looking M1a/M14/M305 stock.
They make this kind of competition/sniper style one that is fairly common on the M14 and the Mosin etc:

..and yes in CAD it's a lot more now but No one really offers something like this:

for the M14.
It looks mean and it's considerably less $ than the other one.

I've been asking them for a while. Along with a sweet stock (would be an HUGE seller) for the Savage bolt guns (they have one coming shhhh) but I think that if a BUNCH of people asked them for an AA1430 style stock for the M14/M1A it would be a BIG seller. Pretty big anyway. It would boost general interest in the big old platform and maybe that would drive manufacturers to start offering more and more affordable accessories fort our beloved battle anvils.

I do like the AAM1A stock but would much prefer the AA1430 style.

If cheap is your prority and you want to make it yourself take your norinco plastic stock and some NEA AR15 pistol grip and butt stock and put it togheter. There is a thread on this somewhere.

You can also pick up a Troy chassis for around $500-600 on the EE from time to time. Or just go with a bedded USGI stock. Gives it a classic look with a slightly modern twist.

I agree with the op this would be a nice option.
- Looks better than the choate
- Probably half the price of the Troy
- Not everyone has the time to make their own stock

I found that it made the Mini really heavy compared to its stock form, might not be a big seller in this case.

In case you guys didnt know, Archangel has a deal with springfield to make m1A stocks for factory Springfield guns. Anyways, the socom CQB just introduced as SHOT has a pistol grip stock made by archangel. I assume that this stock will soon be available for purchase as a stand alone item.

I would definitely be interested in one if the price was right. I have freinds who have the normal archangel stock on there m305s and have been impressed with the quality.
