Thin barrel - no choke - options?

Another option is to get a set of tubes, such as those by Briley. You would have to go down a gauge ie 20 ga tubes in a 12 gauge gun. They add about 12-14 oz weight. Briley also make short tubes which are about 8 oz or so.
I used a set of Briley Companion 28 gauge tubes years ago in a Tikka 412s 12 gauge.
They were awesome!

I have a set of 28 ga side kicks. Work great!
Interestingly enough, I always wondered about the different lengths of mine so I phoned Briley to find out why the 410's were that much longer and thd 20's and 28's were not the same either .
I was told it was because mine are very old before they "standardized " them, and that mine were actually made from cut off full length tubes, basically as one off sets!🤣

Lets say I have a 12ga Cylinder barrel that is too thin to be threaded for chokes but I need a choke ..... lets say a Full choke for example.

What other options are there to add a choke or removable chokes to such a barrel?

Are there options that can be soldered on to the barrel?

Other?
Use it for close work and buy something with more choke for farther work.
