Question is do you want it fixed up?

I mean, how long was the engine running while gushing oil from the filter? Was it running dry at all and did any contaiminants get into the oil circulating system....

It would suck getting it repaired and 4 months down the road have to replace main crankcase bearing or similar due to erosion from contaminants.
