3 shot - 100 yards - 16kph wind at my back

40 grn Berger match grade varmint on top of 28 grn's of H335, COAL of 2.260, Winchester brass with remington small rifle primers. Shooting a stock Weatherby Vanguard in 223 topped with a 3x9 Bushnell Elite 3200.

Pretty happy, this is my PB group ever as well.

Any time you get a Personal Best during load testing, you should pat yourself on the back, and shoot it again. That just means you did your best, not necessarily that the group is repeatable. I like to shoot at least 2x5 shot groups with each charge weight, just to take myself out of the equation. Because I can occasionally fluke a really sweet group, does not make me and my rifle a quarter MOA combination. Realistically, I can hold .75" inch groups pretty much all day with my Savage Model 12, occasionally, there'll be a .3-.5 but that's good luck more than anything else.

I made the mistake of loading for a match based on a 3 shot group at 100m. When I got it out to distance (800m)it had fliers and elevation issues. Needless to say, I put it away and shot my trusted gun.

It's always nice though to have those wall hanger groups. I have a 4 shot group in the 0's I shot while breaking in a barrel that hangs on my wall at home.
