Hi all,
i need to pick the optics guru's brains for a minute.
so here's the story, went to the gun show today and found a mint bushnell banner 6-18X50AO for my .22 target gun. came home and mounted and bore sighted. After everything was ok i tripped while walking and dropped the rifle (F&*(&*(K). the rifle landed on the scope bell and I bent the main tube of the scope a little between the turrets and the start of the front bell. i took the scope off and using some old mounts as a saddle pressed the tube in the vice and got it straight as i can. You can just see a slight bend only with a straight edge. The scope still focuses fine and seems to move the crosshairs fine while locked in the gun vice and everything works ok. Do you guys think it will shoot still or am i wasting my time. it is going on a .22 so its not like it will cost lots to test.
i am going to try it out and let you know how it comes out
needless to say i was a little P O'd at myself
