I've seen it happen once, they go for the throat - so watch out.

how long does the tape last for?does it peel off easy? does it leave glue deposits?

i know, but they only pattern they didn't have was the mossy oak break up to match the stock, if isee any around i'll re do it again.
 
Took my first Tom 22lbs with a Balkai double barrell blued with wood and the next year I traded up for a nice camo and I couldn't get those damn birds to come in to me!!!!!! I think you did a good job!!!!!
 
A camo A-5.. what next? That gun should be illegal for hunting Turkeys... does it hold the new fangled 2 3/4 inch shells? You should trim that tape back a little more behind the bolt handle Kev... the drag from the tape will likely seize it up solid.:p
