Think this 303 is really from 1942?

I was sorting thru some brass today and found this... I am guessing that a date stamp from 1942?

Sometimes the numbers have nothing to do with dates... I was just wondering... Interesting to think that that has been around since 1942 and was just fired last weekend

did the primer work good? I had some old '43 rounds and there was a 1 second delay between the firing pin striking the primer and the round actually going BOOM. I still have a bunch, shot 3, same thing 3 times ..... so I put 'em away lol
