Hey guys, thinking about picking up a Grizzly, i really like the look of the 8.5", i figure it would be a fun gun. I'm assuming putting a pistol grip on it would make it restricted. Can a guy get around that with a folding stock? I'm also toying with the idea of a Mossberg 500 with the pistol grip, any advice? Thanks.

I really like my 12.5'' DA Grizzly. I went with the 12.5'' because apparently the stock is more interchangeable with Remington ones, and down the line I may switch things up. Check out youtube, there are a few of videos with the 12.5'' and 8.5''.

Took your advice and watched several videos on youtube, after seeing somebody actually handle the 8.5", it looks REALLY short, i mean i knew it was but actually seeing it in someones hands you really notice it. I think im actually leaning towards the 12.5" now. Is canadaammo the best place to get one?

Very surprising how the 8.5 is slick and accurate, mounted with a Spark red dot it shoot with cheap slug inside 6 inch at 40 metres, pretty good for a hand gun lenght barrel, should be a very lethal deer hunting tool with buckshot in the thick... Cheers. JP.

I have only good things to say about CanadaAmmo, They processed my order very quickly, and 9 days later I received my shotgun. If you checked out my thread about the stock set for the 12.5'', another CGN'er was very kind to point out, with some customization, you can indeed switch the stock set up with the 8.5'', if that helps you decide.

Glad to hear all these good things about Canada Ammo. I just ordered a 12.5" Grizzly with ghost ring sights from them yesterday. Can't wait!:)

Can't stop shooting that 8.5... Back from the range noticing i dont have a 12 gage shell left in the whole house... JP

No one chimed in about installing a pistol grip making it restricted? I know cutting the stock will change the classification but is a factory made pistol grip exempt? Can't wait for my 8.5" griz to arrive!!!!

Sorry... Never mind. I just found enough grey area info to make me shy away from the idea. I'll bet the muzzle flash is pretty big on these shorty's

The 8.5 is around 6.5 pounds, that why it is so much fun to shoot, recoil is not bad at all... JP.
