Thinking about building up my SKS a bit, Advice?

I've decided to build up my SKS a little bit. To steer myself off of buying a CZ858, which I plan to do later :D And the nice thing about the SKS, if I want a factory SKS again, they're cheap enough I can buy another one.

Anyway for now here's my list:

Tapco Intrafuse stock - Black

Bolt buffer (need to find a place that has em though, recommendations would be great)

A foregrip, for tactical ###iness :D

and perhaps a muzzle break although I remember hearing they're rather pointless on an SKS.

So any advice, pointers or horror stories about those products? I had my eyes on the ATI 6 position stock (folding stock and more rails for crap), but its more expensive and I've heard the tapcos are a much better fit and a better product in general.

I'm going to look into optics/mounting equipment later on. I might try putting a reasonably price red dot on the hand guard for now.. but I've never been a fan of having a red dot mounted forward on the gun (scout config or whatever the hell they call it)

Fab Sports for the tapco stock and for grip. Look for the for grip listed under the ar-15 section at the Fab Sports website. Fab Sports once again for the muzzlebrake. Alot of other site sponsors carry them as well. Fabrice at Fab is a excellent guy to deal with and i fully recomend that place.

Marstar has the buffers for 10 dollars. Sold out of black atm. They have white ones available. I guess coulour dosnt really matter since when the reciever is in place you cant see the buffer.

As for horror stories. The trigger group is a absolute ##### to put into my sks for whatever reason. Never heard of anyone else having problems like this so its probaly just mine. As for the red dot scope on the upper hand guard. It can be done on most tapco stocks. On mine the hand guard is not fitted 100% so there is a tiny bit of movement in it. Other people reported perfectly fine fits on theirs, so red dot scope is just fine to put there.

Is this the ###iness your trying to achieve?

Yep, that's the idea, Nice rifle Ebola:D

Thanks for the input and recommendations. I'll have to get busy ordering soon, looks like Fabsports is the way to go. I'm just holding off till after this weekend because of the HACS show. I'm hoping someone might have some stocks there and I can try shouldering one.

I just got some more questions, are the tapcos actually any shorter than the normal SKS stocks?

Also should I get a short fore grip or a normal length one? I guess having a normal length one might cause issues if I put a removable mag sometime down the road?

i'm in the process of tacticooling my sks my self, but nobody has the tapco stocks in stock,
i keep getting "its comming in next week" for the past month or so, or "its stuck at customs" from everybody i call and email so good luck on your search for one.

that is a sks bipod. mounts right to the bayonet lug.

I have a buddy that has a bore sight that we used on his sks. the funny thing was that when we used it with a bayo lug bipod and then picked the rifle up the sight was off... just from picking it up. IMHO STAY AWAY FROM THE BAYO BIPOD !

Fabsports is awsome ! He will not let you down. If your looking for something that Fabrice doesn't carry, try SKS MAN.

I like the Tapco stock. I have the standard forward grip, I think the shorty would work better.

I see you couldn't get the wood handguard off the gas tube either!!!:D

I gave up after trying for about 2 hrs (and following all the tips I got here on CGN) so I thought "phuck it, it's a plinker, I don't care what it looks like!!"
