thinking about getting an m1 carbine, need some info

so i need some info on the m1 carbine,

-what is the status on this rifle, restricted non restricted or prohib

-availibilty of ammo, cal and price range

-what is the max range on this rifle

- what is the overall leanth of the rifle]


if anyone can answer thease questions that would be great and sorry for any spelling errors lol

The ammo is usually available in most gun stores, but you won't find it at Wal-Mart or Canadian Tire. Expect to pay between $30-35 for a box of 50rds of 110gr FMJ which is the standard round for these guns.
Max effective range is 300m
They are not prohibited.

You can find non-restricted m1 carbines that were sold by Lever Arms in the 80's that have 20" bbl. These guns were all usgi and were in nice condition.
