Thinking about picking up a 222. rem

Well how does the 222 do on coyotes compared to 223

Last one I shot at around 300 yards off of a harris bipod, I held to the top line of his back over his vitals. He ran in circles briefly then scooted over to the neighbors property and died under a tree along their windbreak. This was my longest and only standing still shot on a coyote. The other was a mover at around 200 yards. And I only took one wolf with it and two foxes at much closer distances.

Just one more on the triple deuce love train! It will do what most 223 will do. Coyotes under 300 and real fun on paper. My Rem. loves 52-53 gr. bullets & I know it will shoot way better than I can. Let us know how you like it.

Sure, I'll comment. Merely one of the best little cartridges ever designed! Held oodles of Benchrest records until the 22BR & 6mmBR came along.

The only reason the 223 Remington is more popular today is the military connection. [5.56mm NATO]

I have owned several, and at present have a very accurate 222 in a Remington 700 "Classic"

Doesn't have the clout of a 243, and is not as flat as the 204, but in it's own little niche, it's just plain fun to shoot. Easy on barrels and cheap to load for.

I love the 222 Remington. I think you should buy that Anschutz 900. Dave.

I second the motion! I love my 222 700 BDL V.S.
