Thinking of a new P320 9mm or do I wait for Shot Show 2016???

I've been a big fan of Sig Sauer in particular their P320 in a 9mm. Do I pull the trigger and get one now, or do I wait and just use the loaner pistols at my gun range and see what comes out at Shot Show for 2016? I'd hate to put out good money and then have buyers remorse if Sig makes some major announcement at Shot Show?

One benefit of using the range pistols is that I can use a variety of makes and calibres there as part of my range membership and just wait to see what shakes out of the trees.

What do you think?

I think most of the reviews go like this

Walther PPQ & HK VP9 > Sig P320 mainly because of the trigger. But then again, good luck finding a PPQ or VP9 LOL.

Not a hell of a lot coming out for 2016 to my understanding. For handguns most major brands have already launched all their new models. Hk with their VP9/SFP9. Sig with their P320. Beretta announced their APX which I don't know if it made it to canada yet. CZ might launch a striker gun but there has been no talks of any such thing.

I don't think Sig announces so much at shot. I'm just thinking about the 10mm P220, Legion series, and the new P225. All of which have been announced recently-ish, and not at a SHOT show, if my memory is correct.

Just buy the P320, you won't have any remorse ;)

I picked up a 320 and I shoot it better than any other pistol I've tried! The trigger isn't hard to deal with at all. I have the flat trigger, and if you want to change it up the entire trigger mech can be removed from the frame in one piece without tools so it's not going to be a big fight

I just picked up a new p250 for a song at Bullseye in London , basically same frame and looks but DAO with double tap capabilities in the event you get a misfire

Great reviews for the most part

I can't see anyone truly regretting a Sig purchase. If, however, you decide it's not for you just sell it on the EE. I've even seen some people even making a profit reselling a used firearm for more than retail.

As has been said though, anything announced at Shot Show is months away from Canada. My advice is to get the 320.

Get the Sig now. The CDN $ will likely drop relative to other currencies - and especially to her USD as the Fed is likely to increase interest rates. Prices will only go up in the near term.

I've worked the trigger on the 320 and IMHO it's the best stock striker fired trigger on the market (with the possible exception of the Walther PPQ as I haven't tried it).

I'm partial to getting any firearms from my "local gun shop" that also happens to support this website. I've spent a LOT this last month or so, Gun Vault, Alarm System, Gun cases, 2 SA20's, 2 IUR's, PMAGS, Gun Club memberships at Target Sports, etc... I need to give my VISA a rest and leave some cash in the bank for Christmas. But that being said, a 9mm Sig Sauer is getting to be a rare beast. I only know of 2 dealers in the Toronto area who have any in stock, and only 1 of them is a supporter of this board. I'm very tempted to wait until January when Al Flaherty's is expecting to get more in stock. Just hoping that any price jump is a small one.

If you always wait for the latest and greatest, you'll never have anything. But a 320, you won't be disappointed - love mine.
