I saw a JR carbine in 9mm in my local gun store for $900. I'm really interested in it, but before I spend that kind of money I would like to hear some of your personal experiences with it. Also, is it true that you can get a 33 round mag for it?
Anyone get one in 45acp that works good?

I'm sure you can. They have undergone some changes and the newer ones probably have worked out the issues.I should be able to just buy the gun in 45 in working condition not have to make it work
I have one...but it took a new feed ramp, larger buffer, different buffer spring, and coning out the chamber per the instructions from JRC to get it feeding right...finally. Very accurate and soft shooting carbine in the .45 ACP. I love mine now that it's feeding well. Great support from JRC...but sure frustrating as hell when it wasn't working.
With the take down tube, I can remove the barrel in seconds and the pieces fit nicely in a 25" discreet case. Very packable in this format.
