Thinking of getting a Glock 19x as my first handgun, change my mind?

You could do a lot worse than a Glock.

The 19X is the kind of Glock that grows on you. You might want to wait on the Glock 45 though.

Glock = Great Gun....but Walther PPQ, better grip, better trigger, better barrel = more accurate.

Glocks are awesome. I still like my Sigs better. That said I paid way more for my Sigs than my glocks. Both have their purpose. Buy one of each is my suggestion. Handle them both and you'll know what I'm talking about. Good luck either way its s great ride! You'll get a 1000 different answers.

Glock is not bad. Honestly I do not like the trigger. In my personal opinion, CZ75s have sharper triggers and better grips.

Well, I'll give you the ugly. That Canadian nubby barrel. Go with the 17 or 48.

Nothing screams it's coming from an oppressed nation, like a nubbified barrel, IMHO.

Cheers for the input all, I'm hoping on get a fair few over the years so let's face it there is always going to a Glock or two in there, so be nice to get one that's a lil different.
And you know what I don't actually mind the nub on it, considering I usually hate them.

Glock is a good gun to start with, it is cheap works good and most important..... it gets you in the hobby.
Once you start you will almost automatically start looking at other guns, just so you know. Buy it have fun. It wont be your last.

I hate my Glock 19x less than I hate my other Glocks.

I like them. The only thing to get used to is when you compare it to other brands of pistols it feels like the grip is a 2x4. It's more block shaped than round but you get used to it quick.

Get a 1911 or another gun with some substance, preferably in a .22LR for starting out.
If you're intent on a plastic gun, there's a .22LR Glock coming out.
Smaller caliber is better for learning the basics of handguns so you don't pick up bad habits.

I will be getting a .22 handgun after, cheap pew is more pew. But I've already had some handgun experience so happy to go this way, I was excited for the G44 but from what I've seen online it looks like it is hot garbage sadly.
