Before i do just three quick questions.

1. are aftermarket parts available for them? grips and what not.

2. i know ammo is unavailble right now but when they come in how many rounds in a crate and what is was the going rate for a crate of ammo?

3. what other common calibres is the 7.62x25mm round comparable to. i mean for stopping power and penetration? I assume it would be close but weaker version of the .357sig.

The Norinco Tokarevs are excellent. However if you cannot get one of those, another combloc TT-33 is also good.
I have a 1942 TT-33. This week I ordered four "service packs" from Wolf Springs along with ten magazine springs. The service pack contains all the coil springs the pistol needs. The new recoil spring and extractor spring will be particularly welcome.

I have my barrel steeping in Varsol in an effort to rid it of any cosmline that might remain. I am thinking this is what is leading to the empty lacqured steel casings getting stuck in the chamber after forty or fifty rounds fired. The slide will stick fast requiring a field strip to get the casing out. Even when I have the barrel off I must use a cleaning rod to push down the muzzle to get it out.
I hope this solves the problem. ( A quicker and easier fix is to replace the old Soviet barrel with a Norinco TT barrel)
