thinking of getting an XCR-L .223

I would say it is but on the other hand the used prices on the EE have been coming down a bit. Thus I may suggest trying to pick up a used one for around 2K instead. (As long as your not dead set on the Fast stock).

I'd buy another one in a second if it wasn't so heavy (especially toward the muzzle.) I really liked everything else about it.

Pros:
Many cal conversions available
Integrated rail
as accurate as any AR (2 MOA)
looks awesome
lots of accessories
takes LAR 10 rnd mags
NON_RESTRICTED!!

Cons:
heavy

Do the math... I love mine!!

I'm not much of a precision shooter. Most of my trigger time is spent spraying and praying at close range for fun, but it seems I was able to be more accurate with the XCR than my new Tavor so far. I've only put just over 100 rds through the Tavor, and don't know if the difference in accuracy is due to the gnarly trigger-pull of the Tavor, but the trigger on the new XCRs seems perfect to me.

Well it depends on what you want the XCR for?
For $2500, you can buy many guns.

If you like to use it for hunting or shooting in the bush...theres other cheaper options like the kel tech su16 or the CZ 858

It was worth it to me. Not a tack driver by any means but a fun rifle to play with. Non restricted was the big thing for me. I just ordered an Aimpoint and magnifier for mine.

Mine was awesome, shot all ammo, never jammed. Didn't like my 10-rounder's though...

It sacrificed itself so I could afford school, and my first pay check is buying me a new one.

It's a good lefty gun too, fyi.

I was looking at the XCR-M 9.25# empty. I was wondering if it was type-o. I'm on the fence between a XCR in 308 that I can go hunting with or a AR for just the range. The wieght might not be worth it

Just picked up an XCR-L after selling my SL8, I love the gun so far. I don't think it will shoot with the SL8 but it took me a bit of dinking around to get it where I wanted it as well. It is a blast to shoot though and I don't find it much heavier than the SL8 so lifes good. After playing with this thing a bit I no longer have the itch for an AR. PM me if you want to take my XCR for a spin, we might not be to far away from each other.
