Im thinking of maybe purchasing a Bushnell Red Dot. Im curious as to you honest opinions on them. Im also looking for a price and a vendor.

p.s. If I choose not to pick one up Im interested in your opinions on a good mid range priced red rot scope. Im talking about in the 150$ to 400$ price range. Seems all red dots are either cheap or to expensive for me. 1 or 2 times magnafication prefered.

thanx for your time.

My father just picked up the same scope, can't give a real yes or no yet but it doesn't seem bad and it didn't break when I dropped it a foot onto the table. :p

i have that exact one, it works for what it is supposed to be a 1X sight...now that i have shot it outside i can say that the gophers don't like it much

That is bizarre, I was looking at this exact same item on Le Barons website, for the price I figured it can't be all that bad, I was going to use it on my AR, and for my SKS (once I figure out what mount I will put on it)

Have to take a look at the price of it at Bass Pro as well, might be there on the weekend to check it out....

I hope, not too many of you have a lot of negative points on it.....

I'm not to impressed with them, optically they appear as if you're looking through dark sunglasses. Good if you want them for the range but if you want to hunt in forest or bush a scope will outperform them by a lot. A friend used one for hunting rabbits (with a 22) in daylight and he really liked it. My personal preference is to get a scope, even a cheap one will be better than a red dot. Just my personal opinion.
