Ha! Well done, 65, 66, 67 scores now for 200 yard! Talk about incremental improvements, forcing me back out.
Perhaps in the future, for now these targets have been very successfully shot out to 500 yards (2010, redryder), the key is the backboard or box you're putting it on and centering. The big challenge with bigger targets is getting them in people's hands, as with this format anyone and everyone can just print one. For the far ranges, and I hope to do 300 and 500 before June 30th myself, I'll be using a very large cardboard box of plywood backing with the target centered and essentially just the page becomes the bullseye at that point. I actually want to lob some to 1000 too but my range finder isn't up to the task, suppose I could range 500, leave a reflective marker, go back another 500 and range again. Just thought of that as I got to typing...
We have an abandoned 3000' airstrip (conveniently, equals 1000 yards) available mid summer once it dries out, and I might try putting up an 8'x8' (two sheets of 3/8ths plywood) painted black target board at the end of the strip, then we'll move back for the various ranges. Would like to be the first to hit paper at 1000 within 10 rounds given for 3 years now it's yet to be tried.
