This .22LR shortage is starting to piss me off.

When they had mini mags many members on here got in on it and there was no shipping charges at all.

Just ordered 2500 rounds of American Eagle 22LR 40gr from Cabelas. Fingers crossed that they actually have it in stock and honour the free shipping.

And just a public service announcement: Eagle Hunting Supplies in Richmond, BC has CCI Mini Mags in stock. They are not shipping it though, only available for in-store purchase and a limit of 5 x 100 round boxes per customer.

Thanks for the info re: AE .22 at Cabellas. It is not my favourite .22 round, but I think the days of $0.06 per round .22 are nearly over now that the Canadian Dollar is sinking fast and predicted to get worse. I have 5,000 on their way to me.

Np guys. Glad to see lots of people jumped on this. Only time will tell if 22lr ever goes back down in price but with low supply and the dollar tanking we wont see any cheap 22lr in the near future. Perhaps if the supply stabilizes we might start seeing prices come down. However it seems like the prices go up because "so and so" but they never seem to go back down when the situation changes. Just par for the course here in Canada I guess.

If you believe gun store monkeys... I was told on Saturday, that the reason there is a shortage of .22LR, is that no one is making any right now. My response was..."Hmmm, is that so?". I turned and rolled my eyes, and walked away.

No shortage wher I've been. Some might not like the price, but it's there if you're willing to pay.
The $50-60 bricks seem here to stay.

Lol, yeah same guy told me they were going to stop making beer soon too, just to drive up demand :)

Wow I was about to buy 100 bucks worth of federal champion before reading back over this thread and realizing I could get the same amount of federal gold medal from cabelas for the same price with the free shipping.

Lots of over priced .22lr in the ee... For example, People selling american eagle for $50 a brick plus shipping when cabelas has it for $30 plus tax and no shipping charge...
