This .22LR shortage is starting to piss me off.

I know it's not the same as the EE but on a Facebook gun auction site a guy auctioned several bricks of fed 525 and each brick brought about 75 bucks!!!! That is insanity in my opinion

Everyone has a price point .. some have more to spend than others .. Cheaper than Dirt were selling 100 rounds of Mini Mag for $60.00 at one point ( 2012 ) .. I sat and watched as 150 units sold out in less than one hour .. a month later it was down to $30.00 US

People have gotten used to taking the SA 22lr ( pistol or rifle ) to the range to take the pressure off expending more expensive ammo and maintaining range time ( my personal view as to the North American shortage ) so $.14 cents a round is still cheap compared to more expensive ammo. The day of the $.19 cent .223 is gone for most ..

One can't shoot gophers with out ammo.. and out west the season is now .. not next month .. some can't wait .. JMHO

It's funny what people try and sell this stuff for, what is even worse is the ones that can't wait and buy it, picked up mini mags at P&D not to long ago for $8.99 per 100 rounds, now people want to sell it for double +.... no thanks I aint drinking the koolaid.

$8.99 a brick? Do you mean $8.99 for 100 rounds?

A brick = 500 rounds

I have over 500 rounds of .22 that i will donate to a CGN member.
Has to be be a local pick up; (unless you want to pay for shipping)
Just paying it forward.
Would really like it to go to someone trying to; and struggling to get the young ones into the sport.
Also have a box of 30-30 win federal rounds 170 soft point.(20) & 12 rounds of 308 win. 150 grain soft point.
A package to deal to a cgn member
Not an EE deal... just passing it on.
Not looking for money; just looking want someone who needs help getting started.
Welcome to the sport.

I kept track at the calgary gun show. All 22 ammo was $35+ a brick.
Mostly $40 however Rem Sub was $60 iirc.
I think I saw a few bricks of mini mag for $12 or $15
However if I read right, CCI wont be imported till next year.

Thats a very decent thing to do. Good on ya mate:cheers:

To be fair, this ammo was $200 two years ago @ no sale sports for a case.
So that means he still is almost doubling his money.
Thats if he was lucky enough to buy some at that price.
I picked up 2 cases not knowing the future ammo shortage

I'm gouging no one as I only received my pal less than 2 months ago. Those boxes are being sold for within pennies of the purchase price.

To be fair the 100round packs of mini mags that you picked up were 7.19 at WSS a few months ago..... I grabbed two cases at that time and ended up selling one case to another CGN' member for cost instead of asking for $20/100
