This .22LR shortage is starting to piss me off.

If you guys want .22LRs then goto the hardware stores and small hunting stores in the country and outskirts of town. I picked up 8 bricks when I stopped at a home hardware.

Got the case of Mini Mags for Christmas and just lucked across a case of CCI SV's today.... was chatting with a guy at my LGS and mentioned that I was almost out of SV's, and he says "have I got a deal for you...." a five minute drive to his house, $250 cash and I am set for 2015...

With luck like that I would be buying a few lottery tickets.. Happy 2015

300,000 people in ontario are out of work in the manufacturing sector, maybe someone should set up shop here and start manufacturing mass amounts if ammunition. That'll put people back to work

Bought a .22 rifle after boxing day at cabelas and got talking to the sales guy. He had the same rifle and was giving tips on ammo he had used that fed well. In the conversation told me that in a lot of cases when cabelas would get .22 stock in the employees would scoop up the stock before it hit the floor. Makes me want a p/t job there.

That should NOT be allowed to happen. Very poor business practice.

But nice for the employees!

Whats the difference?? A sale is a sale. The bottom line is all those huge stores care about.

Ive had issues with that at cabales here in stoon and pretty much got told to #### off by the manager so I dont shop there anymore, good thing northpro is 2 minutes from my house.

Ya I don't shop there either unless I get a gift card for there. Northpro is the only store worth going to anyway.

I'm shooting Federal 550 bulk packs that I paid $6.97-11.49 for at WalMart back in the day. I bought several hundred of them over a 3 year period, every time I shot one up I bought 2, when they were on sale I bought a case at a time and it added up. I have 3 cases of CCI Blazer that I picked up 3 or 4 years back at "normal" prices as well as a case or 3 of SV and at the time it didn't make a dent in what was on the shelves, I doubt that I'll need to buy any more for the foreseeable future.

The only time I buy any now is for other shooting friends when I see a deal...

blake

Out of the 13 stores I've checked over the last weekend (2 local gun shops closed for holidays) 1 store had 1 50rd box of subsonic CCI. Bass Pro had Plenty of Remmy, & Winchester but no CCI minimags or blasers only greentips

As of this morning Al Simmons had mini-mags @8.95/100 and tons of CCI 22lr quiets 500 packs. Not sure of their inventory levels but I'd guess around 5 or 6000 rounds of mini mags sitting on the shelf.

No other 22lr on the shelves.

What's the diff? A sale is a sale, but if your customers can't get what they need from you, they learn to go elsewhere. Your employees can only buy so much.
Good business practices fosters repeat customers. That impacts the bottom line directly, and positively.

You now qualify as a WMD. The black helicopters are coming.......

A new indoor range just opened in my home town and I became a member late last month. I don't go back to work until late February so I'm spending a lot of my free time at the range. I thought I had a lot (for me) of .22LR but I've been blowing through 300 rds.-500 rds. per range session and it doesn't take long to go through that shooting handguns.

All of the major CT and Walmart stores are completely out of ammo. There's basically no rimfire ammo anywhere around here including Halifax. CCI ammo is so hard to find I buy what I can regardless of price. CCI SV is as rare as unicorn poop.

I never thought I'd be rationing .22LR but it appears I'll either have to do that or shoot everything I've got and wait...wait...wait...like everyone else.

Crap. I can't get there until Thursday at the earliest. Hope there's some left.......
