This .22LR shortage is starting to piss me off.

There is no shortage of 22 ammo in the Okanagan valley in BC. What there is, is a shortage of cheap 22 ammo. Just about every place I go to has 22 ammo but finding the cheap stuff is hard to do.

ok guys I am new to the game here. what is the price of 22lr say 2 years and what is the price late 2014?

A mere 2 years ago I bought 5000 round cases of CCI Blazer for 159.99 on sale. Now about 300.00

A year ago I got CCI Minimags at 280.00 a case. Now about 400.00

I just bought 5000 rnds of Federal High Velo for 320 + tax. roughly 7c/rnd. how much was federal before?

seems like everyone on this thread is getting CCI. Is CCI like the go to brand?

A couple years ago, maybe more now, I got what seems like the last Blazers on the island for $19.99 a brick.
Price now? I don't know, I haven't seen any in 2yrs.

I stopped by my local store today and they only had Winchester. I just got the notice from Canada Post my M&P22 is on the way, so I took 1 box of 50, just to get started. I hope it doesn't foul the barrel too much... I know I can get Remington at another place, but I don't know if the hollow points will feed well. It's a long drive to Bass Pro or Cabella so I'll have to call and see what they have in stock before I try them.

The Winchies will give me a chance to try out the new cleaning kit.

I don't know about the Federal specifically but in general everything .22lr was cheaper than it is now.

CCI sets the standard for good rounds at a good price. Generally considered the best of the "bulk" ammo.

CCI is good ammo, probably the best, but usually i prefer cheaper ammo, it just seems theres been a large flow of CCI on the market recently.

Also where did you find 5000 rnds of federal for sale? let me know! Thanks

You got yourself a good deal! Atleast in my opinion, I mean it can always be cheaper but 32$ a box is alright for Federal stuff!

I got myself 3250rnds of Federal AutoMatch for 199.99 on a black friday deal and I was happy with that!

I've been struggling to find any 22 (or 9mm for that matter) at WSS, wally world or crappy tire. I'm getting pretty much all mine from Wanstalls as they're only 10 mins up the road, prices and selection has been OK that last few times I've been in winchester 333 was $22. Reliable is good but too far for me. I've also found 400-round boxes of federal at Blue line sports for $30

Wal-Mart at 120th and 88th in Surrey has a few boxes. Was there last Sunday and bought some. Still have a whole bunch left.
