This .22LR shortage is starting to piss me off.

Yup that's why I used acart and took 10 bricks.....no limit if you don't ask about it.....that's my experience!

I didn't ask but was stopped by the gun counter guy as I was putting 10 into my cart and informed of the limit. Had my wife with me so it wasn't an issue as I was only taking 10.

It always comes down to who's there when you show up......I walked in, saw the 22LR and said to the guys behind the gun counter, " I'm gonna need a cart!" One of them says, "There's an abandoned one, over there."
Thanks very much...load'em up, look around for a bit and I'm gone with 3000+ rounds! If I coulda been certain the wife wasn't gonna catch me....I'ld of taken all of it!

the guy i talked to at canadian tire had been the lead gun guy at another store for years and switched over to the can tire team when they started selling guns again. he said the shops can't even change anything. the reason why the ammo is so expensive is because they have to pay a premium for it from their supplier and then who knows what the supplier is paying the manufacturer or any other supplier in between. it's sickening. where i live is a very small town and i know just about everyone. the local co-op knocks the price of ammo down just so i buy there and not out of town. the only thing is all they have is winchester wild cats and bulk 555 packs. they can get the 555 bulk stuff down the $32+tax for me and their apparently only making $2 off of that. i did price it out and the 555 bulk winchester costs me $5 more to buy anywhere else, even big box stores who should be able to give better prices. 2 boxes of the 222 bulk cost nearly that from wholesale sports. wildcats come up to $38 a brick.

The Coops in Manitoba have the 555 packs for $25 and 333 for $20.

Prophet River in Lloyd had cases of Thunderbolts for 39.99/500
Got back to Calgary and the south CT had a few different varieties on hand. Ranged from 6 to 8 cents per round as well.
Drought may be over but these are the new prices probably...

anyone see any bricks of CCI SV anywhere? wanstalls has some still i believe but its overpriced. they are selling 500 rounds for $50 yet you can get 50 at basspro for $4.20. i found a couple other places that were selling 50 rounds for $3.50 (but they are out now). a 25%-30% markup is a bit much to stomach.

The U.S. Is hoarding again, and I heard that is why there is this shortage, 9mm is the other shortage and will be this summer too I heard. They just got a massive shipment of Stingers at our Saskatoon Cabela's but they are almost $10 a box

Yeah, 9mm is flying off the shelves around here the last couple months.

I'm trying to pick up a hundred or two hundred rounds per week.
