Think he is a little short of ammo...only packed up about 10 banana mags and 2000 rounds. Seriously over the top, all that ammo is going to take away from the portability and utility of the soft case.

If it was me the case would have less ammo for the zombie apocalypse and more survival items. Gun, ammo, mags...but also basic survival and utility. Compass, firestarter, first aid, game bags, salt and pepper, flashlight, lighters. Hell with all those pockets i would even have clean socks, emergency food and johnnie paper.

Damn it's a cool bag all criticizing aside for his lack of insite into what a survival situation would entail. First aid is a must along with a solid knife and a couple of days dry food, fishing line lures and fire starting implements. And my mother would be remiss if I didn't have a clean pair of underwear to put on when I'm rescued.

It's a cool bag for going to the range with it all in one. But seriously lacking for a true wilderness or ZA situation.

As mentioned dry food packs, water filtering canteen or filter and bladder, knife and hatchet or big heavy chopping knife and smaller skinning knife, fire making tools, a cable saw or that chain saw with finger rings, couple of emergency reflective blankets, compass, back road maps of the surrounding region, compact binoculars and, last but not least, that clean pair of underwear that mom always told us to wear.... :D

went out and did a survival course couple years back where you go out into the forest with nothing but the clothes on your back.
was hosted by 2 SRD trainers.
was a eye opening course that for sure!

they gave us a couple items when we did the 36 hour camp out.
small knife, flint and tingfoil blankets.

to this day im still shocked at how effective those little tinfoil blankets are!

They are very effective! and so small and inexpensive that they should be in every pack. One just needs to be careful not to sweat on them or get them wet as the reflective material comes off very easily when moist.

The blankets are actually mylar plastic with vapour deposited aluminium on one side. The mylar seals in the air from leaving and the mirror like surface reflects back the radiated heat. The reflective aspect is why the old vacuum thermos containers have a mirrored surface on the glass. And why the outer covers on the space satellites are covered with the same sort of mirrored mylar.
