I get 1”, 3 shot groups with them. They perform very well on deer.
I’ve got a 0.7 moa load with 80 gr TTSX’s for 5 shot groups with this rifle, but I wasn’t overly impressed with their performance on deer. It’s a good coyote round though.
I’ve never had to fire lap a bbl before, but I’m considering trying it with this rifle.

Now Now, I have a lot o loads worked up for several rifles that shoot Noslers the best. From 222 Rem to 375 H&H.

A friend believed his rifle had lost its edge. This was a 264 WM.
Asked about his cleaning procedure and he admitted he had never cleaned it. When I got the rifle it came with 6-800 rounds of 1F brass.
Using six different cleaners from Sweets, WipeOut, JB compound, Hoppe's, and a couple of Remington products.
A final WipeOut treatment produced no blue.
Had the barrel scoped and it would probably see another 200 rounds.
A recommended load was producing 2" groups at 200 metres.
He shot the rifle but we did not have time to test it with WipeOut but he was given a cleaning regimen . . .

I’d be very interested in knowing your results, hoping you’ll keep the thread updated as you go through the process. I won’t have time till early winter.
I have used the NECO lapping kit for many years now. It is just the thing for the schitty $5 Wilson barrels the Ruger used for many years on their rifles. I expect it will work just as well on the schitty $6 barrels that Savage uses now.

Then groups started to deteriorate. A good cleaning, [plenty of copper removal] and the
accuracy was back for the 25-30 rounds.
Did the firelap procedure, using 3 grades of abrasive. Fixed that fouler right up.
I could shoot 100 rounds with great accuracy, and cleanup was a breeze. The system works!

I definitely will. I’m going to be busy with work and hunting for the next few weeks but hopefully I’ll get around to it by the end of the month.
