I'm not into canned hunts with bionic deer either. But just heads up, the size of a rack will not give you an accurate indication of age, but only it's diet & mineral intake. Teeth are about the best way to indicate age.
 
I've got nothing against this kind of stuff but please lets not use the word "hunting" with any of this. Maybe call it " Elmer Fudd's Grow and Shoot "

i agree with you that nothing like that should ever be allowed to be scored, but there is one group that calls themselves hunters that allows caged genetically altered animals to be scored. They call themselves the Safari Club International, and my understanding is they came into existence partly because the rules of Boone in Crocket that deal with fair chase and that sort of thing just get in the way. If i am wrong, correct me... Breeding deer is big business in the states, and they advertise the breeding bucks with SCI scores... These "ranches" also allow these caged animals to be hunted for money, again being scored by the Safari Club International.

You might joke but a couple years ago there WAS a company that you could do that. You logged on and shot the deer over the internet using a remote controlled firearm (after paying with a credit card). Then they would butcher the deer and mail you the meat.
 
I can just imagine how that converstion would go..

thats retarded IMO, at 2.5 years old he supported a 407" rack. This year he will be bigger. No doubt some guy will pay a millions of dollars to shoot that buck. I wonder what the stud fees are from a brute like that? pretty hefty I imagine.....
 
That much antler on a 2yr old neck might be close to crulity. The meat would prob. glow in the dark. Great food for the youngsters wanting to bulk up a little. Not for me or mine thanks.
