In 1988 I bought a pair of Leupold 9X25 armoured gold ring compact binoculars. Well, in the past year the armour began to sag and started to separate. I use these optics constantly when I hunt. I sent them back to Leupold in Oregon because Korth could not work on them.
I received them back today approximately 3 weeks after I sent them. They are re-armoured, a complete internal inspection done and aligned.
Included was a brand new strap and they were packaged in a brand new camo soft case, all at no charge. Just the postage is what it cost me.
No whining, and pleading. It was yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir. This is after 24 years.
Pretty damn good public relations and warranty service if you ask me.

I just got a scope back from korth group after having a turret installed. They didn't even give me a new cap to cover the windage adjustment, mine was scratched and dinged. It couldn't cost them more then a few bucks to give me a new one. I was not impressed.
 
I have some Bushnell binoculars older than that, and the rubber armour hasn't started to sag. I did send them to Bushnell to repair something else, though. Just the postage is what it cost me.
