One of the first thing you learn about auctions, some awfully weird things happen. Sometimes almost a shark like feeding frenzy:) I always let every one bid their hearts out and then step in if it's still worth my while.

The whole auction was nuts.... Rusty, single shot junk going for over $100 all day long, Norinco stuff selling for more than new.... There was alot of people. Over the last few years it has got bigger and bigger it seems. But if you want to sell that old cooey or that broken sxs heres where to do it...

They have been known for crazy expensive firearms in poor condition. I think its mainly a crowd without the internet so they don't realize the current value especially with some of the newer stuff like the norinco's. They see it as cheap for what it is for where they are from (mostly rural folks attending). I watched a bit online and didn't see any deals.

Although in the past I have gotten some steals on handguns as the crowd wasn't into them on the particular day and some old cooeys for dirt cheap 50 bucks each in good condition after the 28 percent surcharge (13 tax, 15 auction fee).

Huge money for them as the shop gets 30 percent of the selling fee as commission and the auctioneer makes 10 points, and the other 5 points goes to overhead, online costs, etc. Great business venture!
