On the 17HMR I like 6-24. I put a Bushnell on my Henry.
For the 22 LR a 3-9 will do the job. But again I like a little more power like a 4-12. I put a Nikon on mine 2 years ago (no longer available).
The Hawke brand is well received. I have them on my 223 and 308. The eye relief on them is fantastic. I'm old and need all the help I can get.
Since these are rim fire I don't like to spend big dollars (I'm not just old but cheap too) all these brands offer reasonably priced glass.
