This Lack of Powder Thing is BS

I am out of a few powders that I use, but I have enough for other rifles that fit the need. I stopped worrying about it and will wait until stock is back up in hummasons

This is why, after the last shortage, I went to a single rifle powder and a single powder for shotgun and handguns. Only two powders on my bench, can't be mistaken for each other and are bought in bulk 21lb lots from Higginsons. No shortage here as long as I stay in the .30-06 class of cartridges (and I don't plan on moving out of it).

Im just getting into reloading and looking around for a pound of varget to get my yote rifle setup before it gets to cold out to do so.

I hope they start shipping some out soon, so we buy some. :(

Looking for only one pound? Therein lies the shortage problem. Powder comes in 8 pound jugs. Buy several jugs and start looking for more when you crack the last jug.

Same thing for primers. they come in cases of 5,000.

There is no danger in buying lots. if worse comes to worse, you can always sell it for more than you paid for it. Unlike gold, the value of powder and primers never goes down. Stock up when it is the glut of the market. Which might be soon, I think. I hope.

Well..... Id be happy with one pound for right now. Like how many 25gr rounds can a person make from one pound? 280 right? Well that should get a person started for sure. Well with me anyways. :)

I don't know of any dealer that has Varget in stock. I have not had to shop for it for a couple years.

I have heard that Hirsch Precision has N140 in stock. It (in my opinion) is a better powder, similar in speed. A bit pricey, though, but if you are only buying one pound, it hardly matters.

Titch

You should be offering some walleye fillets as a partial trade, some one from alberta might just take the bait. FS
