I seen where a person improvised while out at the range and thought "I wonder if anyone actually
makes a spring plug like this, I would buy it. Thought about leaving this one in but with the vibration
of the gun going off I would be worried about losing the spring.

It may work, if your are willing to replace it every couple dozen shots. Brass is relatively soft and wouldn't take much pounding, before it broke free.

Just took another look at your photo and realized the gun is a .22 - probably get away with more than a couple dozen shots.

Considering that that's a .22 I think it might last a bit longer

That one of the reasons I thought it would be cool if somebody made one that would stand up and not be made of brass and with the proper grooves.
