It is so cool that a little carbine like this in 300 Blackout will easily kill deer.

But it is so sad that we can't hunt with the AR15.

I was at the book store the other day. A couple of hunting magazines ( not gun rags) from the US prominently display AR15 as the hunting rifle of choice.

I think it is an achievable goal if enough people push for a change - this means when the hunters get on board with the idea.

It would take a new generation of hunters who aren't stuck on " traditional " ideas. That and the problem younger generations don't have a patriotic bone in there body to try and make change and stand for what they believe in.

Sadly I can't see it ever changing.

Nope. Can you imagine the HORROR the average hunter would have if you showed up to hunt camp toting a teeny little AR carbine or PDW? :D

Yes but you must fill out and file the correct Paperwork for the permit to bring your firearm into the US

You say that like it's a huge deal. It's not. The application/permit is free, and the form is about as simple as it could possibly be. Turnaround time is a few weeks and the permit is good for one year.

Of course it's absurd to have to go to these lengths just to hunt with your own gun of choice. I keep my ATF forms primarily so I can bring my handguns and carry on my trips. Also was comforting to have a handgun while putting up tree stands in bear country last fall in Virginia.

Huh? Where do I make it sound like its a big deal. You have to fill out the form 6 and send it in for approval and permit just as I stated. Did I say anything about it being a big hassle or cost expense? Nope.

Times are a changing. While the Fudd is still alive and well, more people in the hunting community are open to black guns and handguns than ever before. I know I am thinking hard about an RFB for deer hunting. Non restricted, compact, .308....what more can a guy want?

Little carbines and little bullets seem to do a good job at dropping deer where they stand in my experience.
