I was at the book store the other day. A couple of hunting magazines ( not gun rags) from the US prominently display AR15 as the hunting rifle of choice.
I think it is an achievable goal if enough people push for a change - this means when the hunters get on board with the idea.
It would take a new generation of hunters who aren't stuck on " traditional " ideas. That and the problem younger generations don't have a patriotic bone in there body to try and make change and stand for what they believe in.
Sadly I can't see it ever changing.
If you go hunting in the USA can you take your AR where it's legal to hunt with it.

That is a US classification that holds no legal weight in Canada.
